ABSTRACT

In this study  , Traditional Turkish Folk Music has been examined for its place in the primary and secondary school education program together with the examination of six modes corresponding to those found in the Traditional Turkish Folk Music repertoire of Turkish Radio and Television Assocation have been examined for their voice register , lyric, rhythm, structure, the length and scales. According to the results obtained the examined six modes were adjusted to the educational structur in schools and five melodies were formed from each mode for educational purposes. In parallel to these malodies, four folkloric songs for each modes were placed as adjuncts a teach repertoire.
